Description

All-in-one film applicator Technical Field

[0001] This invention relates to an integrated film applicator that is easy to use, convenient to operate, and can quickly and accurately position the protective film. Prior Technology

[0002] With the advancement of technology, mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets have become necessities in people's lives. As mobile devices can perform increasingly diverse functions, in addition to traditional uses like information, entertainment, and communication, they now also function as debit cards, credit cards, electronic tickets, and navigation devices. Therefore, mobile devices have become indispensable equipment for daily travel. Currently, mobile devices are trending towards thinner and lighter designs and use touchscreens as the input interface. If a mobile device is accidentally dropped or impacted, the screen may be damaged and cracked; in severe cases, the touchscreen may even become completely unusable. To avoid damage, users often use shock-resistant and drop-resistant phone cases to protect the back and sides of their phones, and use screen protectors to protect the screen. Screen protectors are made of various materials, including inexpensive PVC and PET films, as well as more expensive tempered glass and Corning glass screen protectors that are shock-resistant and scratch-resistant. Consumers can choose the appropriate screen protector according to their needs and can have it professionally applied to their mobile devices at screen protector shops.

[0003] Besides having a screen protector applied at a shop, users can also choose to apply the screen protector themselves. Applying the screen protector yourself saves costs and is less restricted by time and location. For example, you can apply the screen protector yourself in areas where it is not easy to find a shop or at times when it is inconvenient to go to a shop. In addition, you can also choose to purchase screen protectors made of special materials without being limited by the materials available at the shop. Summary of the Invention

[0004] However, most people don't have the tools of a professional screen protector shop at home, nor do they possess the application skills of a professional. When applying screen protectors to mobile devices themselves, it's easy to misalign the protector, resulting in crooked placement. This leaves the screen unprotected and unsightly, often requiring replacement and wasting the protector. Therefore, how to make it easy for users to apply screen protectors to their mobile devices themselves, while ensuring precise placement and minimizing waste, has been a focus of our research.

[0005] The main purpose of this invention is to provide an all-in-one film applicator that is easy to use, convenient to operate, and can quickly and accurately position the protective film.

[0006] To achieve the above objectives, this invention provides an integrated screen protector applicator, comprising a base, a limiting device with elastic restoring force, and a pulling device. The base is used to place a mobile phone for screen protector application. A cover is movably connected to one end of the base. The limiting device is located on the base to hold the mobile phone. The pulling device is located on the base and is connected to the limiting device. When the pulling device is pulled, the limiting device can be opened to allow the mobile phone to be placed inside the limiting device. When the pulling device is released, the limiting device elastically returns to its original position and holds the mobile phone.

[0007] In practice, the base has two positioning parts, located above and below the base respectively, for securing the top and bottom of the outer film of a protective film containing a film to the base. The base also has a sliding cover that can slide on the base. Above the positioning part on the upper part of the sliding cover is a pressure roller, and below the positioning part on the lower part of the base is a roller. The roller has a clamping jaw for securing the bottom film of the protective film. When the sliding cover slides downwards on the base, the roller rolls and pulls the bottom film of the protective film away from the protective film, allowing the film inside the protective film to cover the phone screen. The pressure roller, due to the displacement of the sliding cover, directly and tightly presses the film inside the protective film onto the phone screen.

[0008] In practice, the limiting device includes an elastic part, so that when the pulling device is released, the limiting device can securely clamp the mobile phone by the elastic recovery of the elastic part.

[0009] During implementation, a handle is attached to the top of the base.

[0010] To further understand this invention, the following preferred embodiments are provided, along with drawings and figure numbers, to explain in detail the specific components of this invention and the effects it achieves. Simple Explanation of the Diagram

[0011] Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of the appearance of the pulling device in the embodiment of this invention when it has not been pulled. Figure 2 is a schematic diagram of the appearance of the back of the base when the pulling device has not been pulled in this embodiment of the invention. Figure 3 is a schematic diagram of the appearance of the pulling device when it is pulled in this embodiment of the invention. Figure 4 is a schematic diagram of the appearance of the back of the base when the pulling device is pulled in this embodiment of the invention. Figure 5 is a schematic diagram of the state before applying the film in this embodiment. Implementation

[0012] Please refer to Figures 1-5, which are one embodiment of the integrated film applicator of this invention. The integrated film applicator of this invention is mainly composed of a base 1, a limiting device 2 with elastic restoring force, and a pulling device 3.

[0013] The base 1 is for placing a mobile phone 4 for applying a screen protector. A cover 11 is movably connected to one end of the base 1, and a handle 12 is attached to the top of the base 1. The base 1 has two positioning parts 13 and 14, which are respectively located above and below the base 1, for securing the top and bottom of the outer film 51 of a screen protector 5 (as shown in Figures 1 and 5). Furthermore, the base 1 has a sliding cover 15, which can slide on the base 1. The sliding cover 15 has a pressure roller 16 above the positioning part 13 above the base 1, and a roller 17 below the positioning part 14 below the base 1. The roller 17 has a clamping slot 18 for securing the bottom film 52 of the screen protector 5.

[0014] The limiting device 2 is provided on the base 1. The limiting device 2 includes an elastic part 21 (as shown in Figures 2 and 4), so that when the pulling device 3 is released, the limiting device 2 can securely clamp the mobile phone 4 by the elastic recovery of the elastic part 21.

[0015] The pulling device 3 is located on the base 1 and is connected to the limiting device 2. When the pulling device 3 is pulled, the limiting device 2 can be controlled to unfold (as shown in Figures 1 and 3) so that the mobile phone 4 can be placed in the limiting device 2. When the pulling device 3 is released, the limiting device 2 can elastically return to its original position and clamp the mobile phone 4.

[0016] Therefore, when the operator pulls the pulling device 3, the operator can first use the handle 12 to support the device with their fingers and pull it outward. After the pulling device 3 is pulled, the limiting device 2 can be opened, allowing the operator to securely clamp the mobile phone 4 in the base 1 (as shown in Figure 5).

[0017] Next, the top and bottom of the protective film 5 containing the film are respectively secured to the positioning parts 13 and 14 on the base 1, and the bottom film 52 of the protective film 5 is secured to the clamp 18 of the roller 17. The protective film 5 can then be placed flat above the screen of the mobile phone 4. When the operator slides the slider 15 down the base 1, the roller 17 can roll and roll up the bottom film 52 of the protective film 5 away from the protective film 5, so that the film inside the protective film 5 can cover the screen of the mobile phone 4. The pressure roller 16 directly presses the film inside the protective film 5 tightly onto the screen of the mobile phone 4 due to the displacement of the slider 15.

[0018] After the screen protector is applied, the operator can pull the pulling device 3 again to control the limiting device 2 to unfold, releasing the phone 4 from its clamped state, and then take the phone 4 out.

[0019] Therefore, the design of this creation has the following advantages: 1. Through the linkage clamping design of the pulling device and the limiting device of this integrated screen protector applicator, the mobile phone can be stably restrained on the base when applying the screen protector, and the problem of waste and increased cost caused by applying the screen protector crookedly is effectively avoided. 2. Thanks to the sliding design of this integrated screen protector applicator, the screen protector can be quickly and effectively applied tightly to the phone screen, avoiding the formation of air bubbles. 3. Through the design of this invention, the operator only needs to fix the mobile phone and the screen protector to quickly apply the screen protector, which greatly improves work efficiency and reduces the waiting time for consumers.

[0020] The above describes specific embodiments of this invention and the technical means used. Many changes and modifications can be derived from the disclosure or teachings herein, which can still be regarded as equivalent changes to the concept of this invention. The effects produced do not exceed the essential spirit covered by the specification and drawings, and should all be regarded as within the technical scope of this invention. This is hereby stated.

[0021] In conclusion, based on the content disclosed above, this invention can indeed achieve the intended purpose of the novel invention, providing an integrated film applicator that is highly practical and has industrial value. Therefore, a novel patent application is filed in accordance with the law.
