Abstract
Description
Tri-fold card holder Technical Field
[0001] This work relates to a tri-fold card holder, particularly a magnetic card holder with a tri-fold structure and a concealed support. Prior Technology
[0002] With the widespread adoption of mobile payments and electronic tickets, consumers' demand for card storage is increasing daily. While existing card sleeves or holders offer basic card storage functionality, most products still suffer from the following problems:
[0003] Firstly, most card holders are designed to be single-fold or bi-fold, which results in a larger unfolded area and a less lightweight and thinner volume when folded, making them inconvenient to carry in a trouser pocket or a thin wallet.
[0004] Secondly, the opening of the storage pocket of a conventional card holder is usually fixed in an open state, or the user needs to use their fingers to open it to take out or put in items, which is cumbersome. Moreover, the cards are easy to fall out when the opening is open while the card holder is closed.
[0005] Thirdly, conventional designs for attaching phone holders to card sleeves are mostly achieved through external attachment or adhesive. The holder is usually exposed on the surface of the card sleeve, affecting the overall simplicity of the appearance and making it inconvenient to install and remove.
[0006] In view of this, how to provide a magnetic card holder that combines a slim, three-fold storage bag with a folding mechanism, and a retractable phone holder is a problem that urgently needs to be solved in this field. Summary of the Invention
[0007] The main purpose of this invention is to provide a tri-fold card holder. The tri-fold structure makes the product thin and portable when closed. Through the linkage design of the storage compartment with the first and second bases, the opening of the storage bag can automatically open or close with the opening or folding of the main body, improving the convenience of use. In addition, this invention also features a hidden non-flexible part, which is hidden in the hidden slot of the third base when not in use, maintaining a clean appearance. When needed, it can be flipped out to form a phone stand, combining aesthetics and practicality.
[0008] To achieve the above objectives, this invention provides a three-fold card holder, comprising a first base, a second base, a first flexible portion, a storage compartment, a third base, a second flexible portion, and a concealed non-flexible portion; wherein, the first base and the second base are interconnected by the first flexible portion and can be folded relative to each other, the storage compartment is disposed inside the first base and the second base and moves in conjunction with them; the second base and the third base are interconnected by the second flexible portion and can be folded relative to each other; the concealed non-flexible portion can be concealed in the third base and can be folded outward from the third base to form a support.
[0009] This invention relates to a tri-fold card sleeve, comprising a first base, a second base, a first flexible portion, a storage compartment, a third base, a second flexible portion, and a concealed non-flexible portion. The first flexible portion is connected between the first base and the second base, allowing the first base and the second base to be opened or folded together. The storage compartment is located inside the first base and the second base. The third base includes a fold line that defines a first portion and a second portion. The second flexible portion is connected between the second base and the first portion of the third base. The concealed non-flexible portion is connected to the second portion. The third base is folded around the second flexible portion. When the third base is folded open, the hidden non-flexible portion presents the following states: a first state in which the hidden non-flexible portion is located inside the third base; and a second state in which the hidden non-flexible portion is folded open from the inside of the third base outward.
[0010] The first base, the second base, and the third base can be folded into a three-fold or two-fold configuration through the first flexible portion and the second flexible portion, respectively. The hidden non-flexible portion is normally hidden in the third base, but can be flipped out when needed to form a triangular structure with the first base, serving as a phone holder, combining concealment and practicality.
[0011] In a preferred embodiment, the storage compartment includes a first pocket portion and a second pocket portion; the first pocket portion includes a first accommodating space and a first opening, the first accommodating space being formed inside the first pocket portion and the first opening being formed above the first accommodating space; the second pocket portion includes a second accommodating space and a second opening, the second accommodating space being formed inside the second pocket portion and the second opening being formed above the second accommodating space; wherein, the opposite sides of the edge of the first opening are respectively connected to the first base and the edge of the second opening, and the opposite sides of the edge of the second opening are respectively connected to the second base and the edge of the first opening.
[0012] In a preferred embodiment, the edge of the first opening further defines a first outer connecting segment, a first inner connecting segment, and two first movable segments. The first outer connecting segment and the first inner connecting segment are respectively located on opposite sides of the edge of the first opening, and the two ends of the first outer connecting segment are connected to the two ends of the first inner connecting segment through the first movable segments, such that the first outer connecting segment, the first inner connecting segment, and the first movable segments are connected to form an annular first opening; the edge of the second opening further defines a second outer connecting segment and a second inner connecting segment. The second outer connecting segment and the second inner connecting segment are respectively located on opposite sides of the edge of the second opening, and the two ends of the second outer connecting segment are connected to the two ends of the second inner connecting segment through the second movable segments, so that the second outer connecting segment, the second inner connecting segment and the second movable segments are connected to form an annular second opening; the first outer connecting segment is fixed to the inner side of the first base, the second outer connecting segment is fixed to the inner side of the second base, and the first inner connecting segment is connected to the second inner connecting segment.
[0013] In a preferred embodiment, when the first base and the second base are opened, the first base and the second base respectively pull the first outer connecting segment and the second outer connecting segment outward, thereby opening the first opening and the second opening.
[0014] In a preferred embodiment, when the first base and the second base are folded together, the first base and the second base are folded inward so that the outline of the first base and the outline of the second base can coincide. The first outer connecting segment, the first inner connecting segment, the second inner connecting segment and the second outer connecting segment are sandwiched between the first base and the second base, thereby closing the first opening and the second opening.
[0015] In a preferred embodiment, when the first base and the second base are folded together, the third base is folded inward so that the third base is located outside the first base.
[0016] In a preferred embodiment, the first base is provided with a first magnetic attractor in a region adjacent to the first flexible portion, and the third base is provided with a third magnetic attractor in a region away from the second flexible portion. When the third base is located outside the first base, the third magnetic attractor is attracted to the first magnetic attractor.
[0017] In a preferred embodiment, the concealed non-flexible portion is provided with a fourth magnetic attractor on the side away from the second portion. When the first portion and the second portion are folded along the fold line, the fourth magnetic attractor is attracted to the first magnetic attractor, so that the concealed non-flexible portion, the first portion and the first base portion can form a triangular structure.
[0018] In a preferred embodiment, a hidden groove is recessed on the inner side of the first part. The groove outline and depth of the hidden groove match the partial outline and thickness of the hidden non-flexible part. The portion of the hidden non-flexible part that does not match the groove outline of the hidden groove is fixed to the second part.
[0019] In a preferred embodiment, when the first portion and the second portion are on the same plane, the concealed non-flexible portion is placed in the concealed groove.
[0020] In a preferred embodiment, when the first part and the second part are folded along the fold line, the concealed non-flexible part is folded outward from the concealed groove.
[0021] In a preferred embodiment, the second base is provided with a second magnetic element, which is used to attach to an electronic device or its housing.
[0022] In a preferred embodiment, the first flexible portion is integrally connected between the first base and the second base.
[0023] In a preferred embodiment, the second flexible portion is integrally connected between the second base and the third base.
[0024] Compared to previous technologies, this invention has the following advantages: First, thanks to its three-fold structure, this invention is lightweight and compact when closed, effectively improving the shortcomings of conventional single-fold or bi-fold card holders, which are too bulky and difficult to carry. Second, the opening of the storage compartment is linked to the first and second bases, automatically opening when folded and automatically closing when folded, requiring no additional operation from the user, thus improving the problems of cumbersome operation of conventional card holder openings and easy loosening of items. Third, the hidden non-flexible part is normally stored in the hidden slot of the third base, with a flat and simple appearance. When needed, it can be flipped out to quickly form a phone stand, effectively solving the shortcomings of conventional stands that are exposed, affect aesthetics, and are inconvenient to assemble and disassemble. [0029] As used herein, the terms "first," "second," etc., are used only to distinguish descriptive elements and should not be construed as indicating or implying relative importance, order of use, or order of arrangement.
[0030] As used in this article, the terms "up," "down," "front," "back," "left," "right," "side," "top," and "bottom" used to describe component names or positional relationships are intended to help identify the positional relationships between various feature structures. The actual orientation of the feature structures may change depending on the placement angle or the user's location, and therefore should not be used to limit the scope equally covered in this article.
[0031] As used in this article, “integrated connection” refers to any of the following situations: (1) two or more structures are formed simultaneously during the manufacturing process and combined into an indivisible whole; or (2) a single body formed from the same material and the same process, on which structural parts with different positions, shapes or functions are provided.
[0032] As used in this article, "non-integral connection" refers to two or more structures that are joined together after manufacturing and will not easily separate or detach after being joined. The connection methods include, but are not limited to, any of the following: (1) fixed connection: cannot be disassembled after being joined, such as adhesive, electric welding or high frequency; (2) detachable connection: can still be disassembled after being joined, such as threads, latches, quick release parts or fasteners; the above connection can be a direct physical connection between two structures or an indirect connection through an intermediate medium.
[0033] As used in this article, "inner side" or "inner" refers to the side facing each other when the first base 20 and the second base 30 are folded together, that is, the overlapping surface of the two in the folded state; "outer side" or "outer" refers to the other side opposite to the inner side, that is, the surface facing outward when the first base 20 and the second base 30 are opened.
[0034] As shown in Figure 1, Figure 1 is a three-dimensional schematic diagram of the tri-fold card holder 10 when it is opened. The tri-fold card holder 10 includes a first base 20, a second base 30, a first flexible portion 40, a storage compartment 50, a third base 60, a second flexible portion 70, and a concealed non-flexible portion 80. The first base 20 and the second base 30 are connected to each other by the first flexible portion 40 and can be folded relative to each other. The storage compartment 50 is located inside the first base 20 and the second base 30 and is used to store items. The second base 30 and the third base 60 are connected to each other by the second flexible portion 70 and can be folded relative to each other. The first base 20, the second base 30, and the third base 60 form a tri-fold structure. The concealed non-flexible portion 80 is concealed in the third base 60 and can be folded outward from the third base 60.
[0035] In one embodiment, as shown in Figure 2, which is a perspective view of the first base 20 and the second base 30 of this invention, both the first base 20 and the second base 30 are made of rigid sheet or plate material, and the outer contour of the first base 20 matches the outer contour of the second base 30, so that their contours can completely overlap when folded. The first flexible part 40 is made of flexible material and is integrally connected between the first base 20 and the second base 30. Through the flexible nature of the first flexible part 40, the first base 20 and the second base 30 can be opened or folded with the first flexible part 40 as the center. Specifically, the first base 20 or the second base 30 is respectively provided with a rigid plate-like material, such as, but not limited to, a magnetic component, a metal plate, a wooden board, cardboard, or a plastic board. The flexible material of the first flexible part 40 is, for example, but not limited to, leather. Taking leather as an example, the first flexible portion 40 integrally covers the rigid plate-like material of the first base 20 and the rigid plate-like material of the second base 30, thereby making the first base 20, the second base 30 and the first flexible portion 40 integrally connected. In other embodiments, the first base 20, the second base 30 and the first flexible portion 40 may also be non-integrally connected, but the first base 20 and the second base 30 can achieve the purpose of opening or folding by means of the flexible characteristics of the first flexible portion 40, which is within the scope of this invention.
[0036] In one embodiment, please refer to Figure 2. The storage compartment 50 includes a first pocket portion 51 and a second pocket portion 52. The first pocket portion 51 includes a first accommodating space 511, a first opening 512, a first outer connecting segment 513, and a first inner connecting segment 514. The first accommodating space 511 is formed inside the first pocket portion 51, and the first opening 512 is formed above it. Items can be placed into the first accommodating space 511 through the first opening 512. The edge of the first opening 512 also defines the first outer connecting segment 513, the first inner connecting segment 514, and two first movable segments 515. The first outer connecting segment 513 and the first inner connecting segment 514 are respectively located on opposite sides of the edge of the first opening 512, and the two ends of the first outer connecting segment 513 are connected to the two ends of the first inner connecting segment 514 through the two first movable segments 515, so that the first outer connecting segment 513, the first inner connecting segment 514, and the two first movable segments 515 are connected to form a ring-shaped first opening 512. The second pocket portion 52 includes a second accommodating space 521, a second opening 522, a second outer connecting section 523, and a second inner connecting section 524. The second accommodating space 521 is formed inside the second pocket portion 52, and the second opening 522 is formed above it. Items can be placed into the second accommodating space 521 through the second opening 522. The edge of the second opening 522 also defines the second outer connecting section 523, the second inner connecting section 524, and two second movable sections 525. The second outer connecting section 523 and the second inner connecting section 524 are located on opposite sides of the edge of the second opening 522, and the two ends of the second outer connecting section 523 are connected to the two ends of the second inner connecting section 524 through the two second movable sections 525, so that the second outer connecting section 523, the second inner connecting section 524, and the two second movable sections 525 are connected to form a ring-shaped second opening 522.
[0037] In one embodiment, please continue to refer to Figure 2. The first outer connecting segment 513 of the first bag portion 51 is fixed to the inside of the first base 20, the second outer connecting segment 523 of the second bag portion 52 is fixed to the inside of the second base 30, and the first inner connecting segment 514 of the first bag portion 51 is connected to the second inner connecting segment 524 of the second bag portion 52.
[0038] In one embodiment, as shown in Figure 3, which is a bottom view of the first base 20 and the second base 30 of this invention when they are open. When the first base 20 and the second base 30 are open, the first base 20 and the second base 30 can respectively pull the first outer connecting segment 513 and the second outer connecting segment 523 outward. Since the first inner connecting segment 514 and the second inner connecting segment 524 are connected, they are restrained inward (corresponding to the opposite ends of the first outer connecting segment 513 or the second outer connecting segment 523). In this way, the opposite sides of the first opening 512 and the opposite sides of the second opening 522 are pulled open in opposite directions, thereby making the first opening 512 and the second opening 522 open. In other words, when the first base 20 and the second base 30 are open, the first opening 512 and the second opening 522 can be opened at the same time.
[0039] In one embodiment, as shown in Figure 4, which is a bottom view of the first base 20 and the second base 30 of this invention when folded in half, the first base 20 and the second base 30 are folded inward, so that the outline of the first base 20 coincides with the outline of the second base 30. At that time, the first outer connecting segment 513, the first inner connecting segment 514, the second inner connecting segment 524, and the second outer connecting segment 523 are sandwiched between the first base 20 and the second base 30, thereby closing the first opening 512 and the second opening 522. In other words, when the first base 20 and the second base 30 are folded in half, the first opening 512 and the second opening 522 can be closed simultaneously.
[0040] In one embodiment, as shown in Figure 5, which is a perspective view of the second base 30 and the third base 60 of this invention, the third base 60 is a rigid sheet or plate, and the second flexible portion 70 is a flexible material. It is integrally connected between the second base 30 and the third base 60. Due to the flexibility of the second flexible portion 70, the second base 30 and the third base 60 can be opened or folded around the second flexible portion 70. Specifically, the second base 30 and the third base 60 are respectively provided with a rigid plate-like material, such as, but not limited to, magnetic components, metal plates, wooden boards, cardboard, or plastic sheets. The flexible material of the second flexible portion 70 is, for example, but not limited to, leather. Taking leather as an example, the second flexible portion 70 integrally covers the rigid plate-like material of the second base 30 and the rigid plate-like material of the third base 60, thereby making the second base 30, the third base 60 and the second flexible portion 70 integrally connected. In other embodiments, the second base 30, the third base 60 and the second flexible portion 70 may also be non-integrally connected, but the second base 30 and the third base 60 can achieve the purpose of opening or folding by means of the flexible characteristics of the second flexible portion 70, which is within the scope of this invention.
[0041] In one embodiment, as shown in Figure 6, which is a front view of the first base 20, second base 30, and third base 60 of this invention when they are folded open, a three-fold structure can be formed by the first base 20, second base 30, first flexible portion 40, third base 60, and second flexible portion 70. Please also refer to Figure 7, which is a bottom view of the first base 20, second base 30, and third base 60 of this invention when folded. When the first base 20 and second base 30 are folded, the third base 60 can be folded again along the second flexible portion 70. At this time, the third base 60 is located outside the first base 20. To prevent the first base 20, second base 30, or third base 60 from loosening when the invention is folded, the rigid sheet or plate material of the first base 20, second base 30, and third base 60 is a magnetic element. Specifically, the first base 20 has a first magnetic attractor 21 disposed in the region adjacent to the first flexible portion 40, the second base 30 has a second magnetic attractor 31 covering most of its area, and the third base 60 has a third magnetic attractor 61 disposed in the region away from the second flexible portion 70. When the third base 60 is located outside the first base 20, the third magnetic attractor 61 can be attracted to the first magnetic attractor 21, thereby preventing the first base 20, the second base 30, or the third base 60 from coming apart. The second magnetic attractor 31 is used to attach to the electronic device or its casing.
[0042] In one embodiment, please refer again to Figure 5. The third base 60 also includes a fold line 62, which defines the first part 63 and the second part 64, allowing the first part 63 and the second part 64 to be folded along the fold line 62. Please also refer to Figure 8, which is a perspective view of the concealed non-flexible part 80 of this invention folded outward. A concealed groove 65 is recessed on the inner side of the first part 63. The groove outline and depth of the concealed groove 65 match the partial outline and thickness of the concealed non-flexible part 80. The concealed groove 65 is used for inserting the concealed non-flexible part 80. The first part 63 is connected to the second flexible part 70, and the portion of the concealed non-flexible part 80 that does not match the groove outline of the concealed groove 65 is fixed to the second part 64. When the first part 63 and the second part 64 are on the same plane, the hidden non-flexible part 80 can be placed into the hidden groove 65; when the first part 63 and the second part 64 are folded along the fold line 62, the hidden non-flexible part 80 can be folded outward from the hidden groove 65.
[0043] In one embodiment, please refer to Figures 8 and 9 together. Figure 9 is a bottom view showing that the concealed non-flexible part 80, the first part 63, and the first base 20 of this invention can form a triangular structure 90. A fourth magnetic member 81 is provided on the side of the concealed non-flexible part 80 away from the second part 64. When the first part 63 and the second part 64 are folded along the fold line 62, the concealed non-flexible part 80 folds outward from the concealment groove 65, and the fourth magnetic member 81 can be attracted to the first magnetic member 21. At that time, the concealed non-flexible part 80, the first part 63, and the first base 20 can form a triangular structure 90. When the second magnetic member 31 is attracted to an electronic device, the triangular structure 90 can be used as a mobile phone stand.
[0044] Regarding how to use this creation, users can choose the following usage options according to their actual needs: A. As shown in Figure 2, when used in the split configuration: the user splits the first base 20 and the second base 30, and the first opening 512 and the second opening 522 of the storage compartment 50 open accordingly. The user can place cards or thin items into the first storage space 511 or the second storage space 521 respectively. After folding, the first opening 512 and the second opening 522 close automatically, and the items are clamped and fixed, making them less likely to fall off. B. As shown in Figure 7, when using the three-fold design: the user folds the first base 20 and the second base 30 together, then folds the third base 60 together, so that the third base 60 covers the outside of the first base 20. At that time, the third magnetic component 61 and the first magnetic component 21 attract each other (not shown in Figure 7, please refer to Figure 6), so that the whole structure remains in a three-fold closed state, making it compact and not easy to fall apart when carried. C. As shown in Figure 9, the phone stand: The user folds the first part 63 and the second part 64 of the third base 60 along the fold line 62, and the hidden non-flexible part 80 folds outward from the hiding slot 65. The fourth magnetic member 81 is attracted to the first magnetic member 21, so that the hidden non-flexible part 80, the first part 63 and the first base 20 form a triangular structure 90, which can support the electronic device at an appropriate angle and be used as a phone stand. When not in use, the hidden non-flexible part 80 can be stored back into the hiding slot 65 to maintain a flat appearance.
[0045] In conclusion, the tri-fold card sleeve provided in this invention has the following advantages compared to other conventional techniques: A. Through the three-fold design of the first base 20, the second base 30 and the third base 60 connected in sequence with two flexible sections, this creation is thin and small in size when folded, and can be easily put into a pocket or bag, taking into account both storage function and portability. B. The concealed non-flexible part 80 is normally stored in the concealed slot 65 of the third base 60, flush with the appearance of the third base 60, without affecting the overall aesthetics; when needed, the concealed non-flexible part 80 can be flipped out to quickly form a stable triangular support structure 90, which combines concealment and practicality, and is one of the major features of this creation. C. The first opening 512 and the second opening 522 of the storage compartment 50 are fixed to the inner sides of the first base 20 and the second base 30 respectively through the first outer connecting section 513 and the second outer connecting section 523, and are mutually restrained by the first inner connecting section 514 and the second inner connecting section 524. When the first base 20 and the second base 30 are opened, the first opening 512 and the second opening 522 automatically open; when folded, they automatically close. Users do not need to operate the storage bag separately; they can open and close it simply by folding the main body, making the operation intuitive and smooth.
