Abstract

A hybrid dual-path system combining a broadband distribution amplifier and a network protocol radio is disclosed. The hybrid dual-path system includes a broadband distribution amplifier, a network communication router, and a control host connected to the broadband distribution amplifier and the network communication router and used to switch between a first mode of communication performed by the broadband distribution amplifier and a second mode of communication performed by the network communication router based on the quality of a communication signal.

Claims

1. A hybrid dual-path system, comprising: A broadband distribution amplifier; a network communication router; A control host connected to the broadband distribution amplifier and the network communication router is used to switch between a first mode of communication via the broadband distribution amplifier and a second mode of communication via the network communication router based on the quality of a communication signal.

2. The hybrid dual-path system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the wideband distribution amplifier is used to communicate with a terrestrial repeater radio (TETRA) communication module, a Project 25 (P25) radio system, or a digital mobile radio (DMR) system.

3. As in claim 2, the hybrid dual-path system wherein the broadband distribution amplifier receives the communication signal via an outdoor antenna, amplifies the communication signal, and transmits the amplified communication signal via an indoor antenna.

4. The hybrid dual-path system as described in Request 1, wherein the network communication router is used to communicate with an Integrated Services Digital Network.

5. The hybrid dual-path system as described in claim 4, wherein the network communication router communicates with the integrated service digital network via a wireless network (Wi-Fi).

6. The hybrid dual-path system as described in claim 4, wherein the network communication router communicates with the integrated services digital network via fourth-generation mobile communication technology (4G), long-term evolution technology (LTE), or fifth-generation mobile communication technology (5G).

7. The hybrid dual-path system as described in claim 4, wherein the network communication router communicates with the integrated service digital network via a physical line.

8. The hybrid dual-path system of claim 1, wherein the control host is configured to switch to the first mode when the quality of the communication signal is higher than a predetermined threshold.

9. The hybrid dual-path system of claim 1, wherein the control host is configured to switch to the second mode when the quality of the communication signal is below a predetermined threshold.

10. The hybrid dual-path system as described in claim 1, wherein the control host includes: A wideband distribution amplifier control module; an event analysis module; a radio control module; and a Radio over Internet Protocol (ROC) voice conversion module.

11. The hybrid dual-path system of claim 10, wherein the wideband distribution amplifier control module is configured to monitor the status, power supply and gain control of the wideband distribution amplifier.

12. The hybrid dual-path system of claim 10, wherein the wideband distribution amplifier control module is configured to communicate bidirectionally with the event analysis module, and is configured to receive commands and synchronize the state of the radio control module when an anomaly occurs in the hybrid dual-path system or when switching between the first mode and the second mode.

13. As in request item 10, a hybrid dual-path system, wherein the event analysis module is configured to analyze calls, trigger records, system alarms and mode switching in real time.

14. As in request item 10, the hybrid dual-path system wherein the event analysis module is configured to monitor call requests and push-to-talk operations and generate event logs.

15. The hybrid dual-channel system of claim 10, wherein the event analysis module is configured to work in conjunction with the network protocol radio voice conversion module to receive voice channel status and to feed back control information to the broadband distribution amplifier control module to switch between the first mode and the second mode.

16. The hybrid dual-channel system as described in claim 10, wherein the radio control module is configured to control the switching and transceiver management of a vehicle radio channel.

17. The hybrid dual-path system of claim 10, wherein the radio control module and the network protocol radio voice conversion module communicate via an RS-232 interface.

18. The hybrid dual-path system as claimed in claim 17, wherein the radio control module synchronizes the state of one of the broadband distribution amplifier control modules with the network protocol radio voice conversion module.

19. The hybrid dual-path system of claim 10, wherein the Internet Protocol radio voice conversion module is configured to convert a radio voice signal and a control signal into one or more Internet Protocol (IP) packets.

20. The hybrid dual-path system of claim 10, wherein the Internet Protocol Radio Voice Conversion (IPC) module is configured to convert one or more Internet Protocol packets into a radio voice signal and a control signal.
