Abstract

An eyeglasses device includes a solar cell unit and a control unit mounted on the eyeglasses mechanism. The eyeglasses mechanism includes a frame unit and a dimming lens unit mounted on the frame unit. The solar cell unit includes a plurality of solar panels spaced apart on the frame unit and capable of generating electricity through light sensing. The control unit is mounted on the frame unit. The control unit adjusts the light transmittance of the dimming lens unit according to the amount of electrical energy output from the solar cell unit. By arranging the solar panels at different locations on the frame unit and having the control unit automatically adjust the light transmittance of the dimming lens unit based on the amount of electrical energy output from the solar panels, the inconvenience of manually adjusting the light transmittance in existing dimming glasses can be improved.

Claims

1. An eyeglasses device, comprising: an eyeglasses mechanism including a frame unit for wearing, and a dimming lens unit mounted on the frame unit for viewing objects through the lens, the frame unit including a frame for mounting the dimming lens unit, and a wearing component connected to the frame, the dimming lens unit being controllable to adjust light transmittance; a solar cell unit including a plurality of solar panels spaced apart at the left and right ends of the frame and capable of generating electricity through light; and a control unit mounted on the frame and signal-connected to the dimming lens unit and the solar panels, the control unit being driven by electrical energy output from the solar panels, and adjusting the light transmittance of the dimming lens unit accordingly based on the amount of electrical energy output from the solar panels.

2. The eyeglasses device as claimed in claim 1, wherein, The frame unit includes a frame for mounting the dimming lens unit and a wearing component connected to the frame, with the solar panels respectively mounted on the left and right ends of the frame.

3. The eyeglasses device as claimed in claim 2, wherein, The frame has an upper frame portion extending left and right on the top side of the dimming lens unit, two connecting ends respectively connected to the left and right ends of the upper frame portion and connected to the wearing component, and two transparent end cap portions respectively disposed on the connecting ends. Each end cap portion cooperates with the corresponding connecting end portion to define an installation space. The solar panels are respectively disposed in the installation spaces, and the control unit is disposed in one of the installation spaces.

4. The eyeglasses device as claimed in claim 3, wherein, The bottom surface of the upper frame is recessed with an embedding groove that connects the mounting spaces. The dimming lens unit is embedded in the embedding groove. The control unit includes a controller disposed in the corresponding mounting space and a signal line embedded in the embedding groove that is electrically connected to the dimming lens unit, the solar cell unit and the controller.

5. The eyeglasses device as claimed in claim 3, wherein, The wearing component includes two temples pivotally mounted at the ends of the connections, which are pivotally oriented to the left and right.

6. The eyeglasses device as claimed in claim 3, wherein, The wearing component is an elastic band with its two ends connected to the connecting ends respectively.
