Abstract

A segmented-release probiotic capsule includes a capsule body and a plurality of probiotic particles disposed within the capsule body. The probiotic particles include a first probiotic particle, a second probiotic particle, and a third probiotic particle, and each particle is encapsulated with different live bacteria by an outer membrane layer of different thicknesses. This allows the three different probiotic particles to dissolve at different times in the intestine, thereby achieving the function of segmented-release probiotics.

Claims

1. A segmented-release probiotic capsule, the probiotic capsule comprising a capsule body and a plurality of probiotic particles disposed within the capsule body, the capsule body comprising a first capsule shell and a second capsule shell communicating with each other, the probiotic particles comprising: a plurality of first probiotic particles having a first outer membrane layer and first live bacteria embedded within the first outer membrane layer; a plurality of second probiotic particles having a second outer membrane layer and second live bacteria embedded within the second outer membrane layer; a plurality of third probiotic particles having a third outer membrane layer and third live bacteria embedded within the third outer membrane layer; wherein, The thicknesses of the first outer film layer (A), the second outer film layer (B), and the third outer film layer (C) are such that thickness (A) < thickness (B) < thickness (C).

2. The segmented probiotic capsule as described in claim 1, wherein the first live bacteria include a first probiotic and a nutrient source, the second live bacteria include a second probiotic and a nutrient source, and the third live bacteria include a third probiotic.

3. The segmented-release probiotic capsule as described in claim 2, wherein the first probiotic contains 500 million to 1.5 billion live Lactobacillus acid-resistant bacteria.

4. The segmented-release probiotic capsule as described in claim 2, wherein the first live bacteria further comprises digestive enzymes, the digestive enzymes comprising at least one of amylase, protease, lipase, and lactase; wherein, The content of the amylase is 4,500~5,300 DU; the content of the protease is 9,500~11,000 HUT; the content of the lipase is 200~500 FIP; and the content of the lactase is 300~900 ALU.

5. The segmented-release probiotic capsule as described in claim 2, wherein the second probiotic comprises 1.5 to 2.5 billion live Lactobacillus acidophilus and 1 to 1.5 billion live Lactobacillus rhamnosus.

6. The segmented-release probiotic capsule as described in claim 2, wherein the third probiotic contains 3 to 3.5 billion live Bifidobacterium bacteria.

7. The segmented-release probiotic capsule as described in claim 2, wherein the nutrient source comprises lactose.

8. The segmented-release probiotic capsule as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first outer membrane layer is made of an instant-soluble material, and the second and third outer membrane layers are both made of a sustained-release material.
