Abstract

An apparatus for generating a multi-level device interconnection diagram includes a memory and a processor. The memory stores a cable list, a device location diagram, a piping and instrumentation diagram, and multiple data lists. The processor is electrically connected to the memory, and the processor performs the following steps: establishing a connected device list based on the device numbers at both ends of multiple devices connected to both ends of multiple cables in the cable list; and classifying adjacent devices in the connected device list into multiple groups of devices, and generating a multi-level device interconnection diagram accordingly.

Claims

1. A device for generating a multi-level device interconnection diagram, comprising: A memory for storing a cable list, an equipment location diagram, a piping and instrumentation diagram, and multiple data lists, wherein the memory stores multiple instructions; and a processor electrically connected to the memory, wherein the processor is configured to retrieve the cable list, the device location diagram, the piping and instrumentation diagram, and the data lists from the memory, and execute the instructions to perform the following steps: establishing a connected device list based on the device numbers of a plurality of devices connected to both ends of a plurality of cables in the cable list; and classifying adjacent devices in the connected device list into a plurality of co-groups based on the connected device list, and generating a multi-level device interconnection diagram accordingly.

The generating apparatus as described in claim 1, wherein the step of classifying adjacent devices in the list of connected devices into groups of devices of the same type includes: Based on the equipment location diagram, a plurality of first devices adjacent to the equipment in the equipment location diagram are obtained, and the first devices are classified into a first group of equipment groups; based on the piping and instrumentation diagram, a plurality of second devices adjacent to the equipment in the piping and instrumentation diagram are obtained, and the second devices are classified into a second group of equipment groups; and based on the data lists, a plurality of descriptions and a plurality of notes corresponding to a plurality of third devices are obtained, and the third devices are classified into a third group of equipment groups.

The generating apparatus as described in claim 2, wherein the step of classifying adjacent devices in the list of connected devices into groups of devices further includes: The system compares the position of one of the first devices with the position of the other of the first devices by a preset value; if the position of the first device differs from the position of the other of the first devices by the preset value, then the first device is marked; the system compares the position of one of the second devices with the position of the other of the second devices by the preset value; if the position of the second device differs from the position of the other of the second devices by the preset value, then the second device is marked; the system compares the position of one of the third devices with the position of the other of the third devices by the preset value; and if the position of the third device differs from the position of the other of the third devices by the preset value, then the third device is marked.

4. The generating apparatus as described in claim 1, wherein the processor is further configured to perform the following steps: based on the list of connected devices, count the total number of connecting cables for one of the devices in the list of connected devices.

The generating apparatus as described in claim 4, wherein the step of counting the total number of connecting cables for the devices in the list of connected devices includes: Calculate the number of first connections between the devices and a second device; calculate the number of second connections between the devices and a third device; calculate the number of third connections between the devices and a fourth device; calculate the number of fourth connections between the devices and a fifth device; and sum the number of first connections, second connections, third connections, and fourth connections to obtain the total number of cables.

The generating apparatus as claimed in claim 5, wherein the second of the devices is connected to the third of the devices, the second of the devices is connected to the third, fourth and fifth of the devices respectively, and the third and fourth of the devices are classified as one of the groups of devices.

The generating apparatus as described in claim 6, wherein the processor is further configured to perform the following steps: adjusting the multi-level device interconnection diagram based on the total number of interconnecting cables and the number of interconnecting cables of the same group of devices.

The generating apparatus as described in claim 7, wherein the step of adjusting the multi-level device interconnect diagram includes: Based on the total number of interconnecting cables, the devices are placed in the first layer of the multi-level device interconnection diagram; the number of first interconnecting cables of the second device, the number of fifth interconnecting cables of the sixth device, and the number of sixth interconnecting cables of the seventh device are compared; based on the number of first interconnecting cables, the number of fifth interconnecting cables, and the number of sixth interconnecting cables, the second, sixth, and seventh devices are placed in the second layer of the multi-level device interconnection diagram; the number of interconnecting cables and the number of fourth interconnecting cables of the same group of devices are compared; and based on the number of interconnecting cables and the number of fourth interconnecting cables, the third, fourth, and fifth devices are placed in the third layer of the multi-level device interconnection diagram.

9. The generating apparatus as described in claim 1, wherein the data lists include an equipment list, a motor list, an instrument list, or a valve body list.

10. The generating apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cable list further includes a cable number, a cable type, a cable size, a cable length and a cable core count.
