Abstract

This invention provides a multi-module plug-and-play control system, including a host for communication connection to a terminal; and at least one input / output module for communication connection to the host. The host has a graphical user interface (GUI) to map the at least one input / output module, allowing the host to control the at least one input / output module and display information from it. Utilizing USB 2.0 signals and a commonly used Type-C interface, data from the input / output modules is transmitted or acquired. When the at least one input / output module is connected, the host automatically obtains the information described by that module for automatic mapping and connection establishment, regardless of the order in which the input / output modules are inserted.

Claims

1. A multi-module plug-and-play control system, comprising: A host computer is used to connect a terminal for communication. The system includes at least one input / output module, which is communicatively connected to the host computer. The host computer has a graphical user interface to map the at least one input / output module, so that the host computer can control the at least one input / output module and display information of the at least one input / output module.

2. The multi-module plug-and-play control system as described in claim 1, wherein, The host computer communicates with the at least one input / output module via a USB Type-C connector.

3. A multi-module plug-and-play control system as described in claim 1, wherein, The at least one input / output module may be multiple input / output modules, which are connected in series or in a star topology for communication. The multiple input / output modules communicate with each other through a USB Type-C connector.

4. A multi-module plug-and-play control system as described in claim 1, wherein, The at least one input / output module includes at least an uplink port, a downlink port, a power supply unit, and a data communication port. The uplink port is electrically connected to the power supply unit and is used for communication connection to the host or the downlink port of the previous input / output module. The downlink port is electrically connected to the power supply unit and is used for communication connection to the uplink port of the next input / output module.

5. A multi-module plug-and-play control system as described in claim 4, wherein, The at least one input / output module further includes a USB hub and a USB-to-I / O converter chip. The uplink port and the downlink port are electrically connected to the USB hub, the USB hub is electrically connected to the USB-to-I / O converter chip, and the USB-to-I / O converter chip is electrically connected to the data communication port.
