Abstract

Air vents located high up in buildings are typically equipped with crescent locks to ensure security and airtightness. However, when users want to open or close these vents, they often have to rely on ladders or stools because their hands cannot directly reach the locks, making the process extremely dangerous. This invention provides a high-level window opener, primarily used for operating high-level air vents equipped with crescent locks. The opener includes a lever and a square slot at the top of the lever. The dimensions of the square slot correspond to the operating handle of the crescent lock, allowing it to fit over the handle. The user holds the lever on the ground, and by rotating it through the square slot onto the crescent lock handle, unlocks and locks the window. Simultaneously, the combination of the square slot and the lever also allows force to be applied to the window sash to open and close the window. This invention features a simple design and effectively enables all-around operation of high-level air vents.

Claims

1. A high-mounted window opener, comprising an actuating rod, a square slot, an arc-shaped groove, an auxiliary rod, a transverse connecting rod, and a rivet assembly, wherein, The actuating lever is a long rod with a handle for assisting in reaching the crescent lock at a higher position. A square slot is located at the top of the actuating lever, and this square slot has an accommodating space whose inner diameter matches the shape of the actuating handle of a typical crescent lock. An arc-shaped slot is located in the square slot, and its interior has an arc-shaped hole. A rivet assembly is used to rivet the actuating lever, the square slot, and the arc-shaped slot to form a linkage mechanism, allowing the square slot to rotate. The auxiliary rod is a long rod with a handle. A transverse connecting rod is located near the bottom of the auxiliary rod and is laterally connected to the auxiliary rod by a pin. The connection between the transverse connecting rod and the auxiliary rod forms a linkage mechanism, allowing the operator to more stably operate the entire window opener and perform the unlocking operation. To unlock the window, hold the lever with one hand and the auxiliary lever with the other. Align the square slot at the top with the crescent lock handle of the high-mounted vent and slide it in. Then push the lever to rotate the square slot, which in turn rotates the crescent lock handle, unlocking the window. To open the window, after unlocking, use the side of the square slot and the top of the lever to press against the window frame and push outwards or to the side to open the window. To close the window, use the square slot to hook or push against the window frame to return the window to the closed position. To lock the window, slide the square slot into the crescent lock handle again and push the lever to rotate the square slot in the opposite direction, locking the crescent lock to the locked position.
