Abstract

This invention, applicable to air pump connectors with different nozzles, includes a headstock and a switching module. The headstock has an American-style connector, a French-style connector, a connecting channel, and an air inlet. The connecting channel connects the American-style connector and the French-style connector, and the air inlet connects to the American-style connector. The American-style connector has an American-style interface, and the French-style connector has a French-style interface. The switching module includes a core that can be movably positioned within the American-style connector between the American-style and French-style positions. When the core is in the American-style position, it closes the path from the air inlet to the connecting channel. When the core is in the French-style position, it closes the path from the air inlet to the American-style interface. Through the above structure, the air pump connector can be used with both American-style and French-style nozzles.

Claims

1. An air pump connector applicable to different air nozzles, comprising: a headstock, the headstock having an American-style socket, a French-style socket, a connecting channel, and an air inlet, the connecting channel connecting the American-style socket and the French-style socket, the air inlet connecting the American-style socket, the American-style socket having an American-style interface at one end opposite to the connecting channel, the French-style socket having a French-style interface at one end opposite to the connecting channel, the American-style socket having a first airtight portion and a second airtight portion, the first airtight portion being disposed between the connecting channel and the air inlet, the second airtight portion being disposed between the air inlet and the American-style interface, the headstock including a push-off module, the push-off module being disposed within the French-style socket, the push-off module having a deformable portion and a push-off top, the deformable portion being adjacent to the connecting channel and the push-off top being adjacent to the opening of the French-style socket, the deformable portion being elastic and deformable to allow the push-off top to be displaced axially along the French-style socket; A switching module includes a core that is movably disposed within a US-type socket between a US-type position and a French-type position. In the US-type position, the core disengages from the second airtight portion and abuts against the first airtight portion, blocking the path of the air inlet to the connecting channel. In the French-type position, the core disengages from the first airtight portion and abuts against the second airtight portion, blocking the path of the air inlet to the US-type interface.

2. The air pump connector applicable to different nozzles as described in claim 1, wherein the abutment module includes an elastic member and a top block, the end of the elastic member adjacent to the connecting channel abuts against the inner periphery of the French socket, the deformable portion is disposed on the elastic member and curls along a spiral trajectory while maintaining the same diameter, one end of the top block abuts against the end of the elastic member opposite to the connecting channel, and the abutment top is disposed at the end of the top block adjacent to the opening of the French socket.

3. The air pump connector applicable to different air nozzles as described in claim 2, wherein the head includes a housing, a sliding member, a first airtight ring, and a second airtight ring. The American connector and the French connector are respectively disposed at the same end of the housing. The American connector, the French connector, and the connecting channel are disposed in the sliding member. The sliding member is movably disposed within the housing between a release position and a tightened position. The first airtight ring is disposed within the housing and located between the sliding member and the American connector. The second airtight ring is disposed within the housing and located between the sliding member and the French connector. In the release position, the sliding member moves away from the American connector and the French connector. In the tightened position, the sliding member moves closer to the American connector and the French connector and compresses the first airtight ring and the second airtight ring.

The air pump connector applicable to different nozzles as described in claim 3, wherein the sliding member is provided with two clamping parts, the two clamping parts being located on opposite sides of the French socket in the radial direction, the two clamping parts being far apart from each other in the released position, and the two clamping parts being close together in the tightened position.

An air pump connector applicable to different nozzles as described in claim 4, wherein a tapered portion is provided on the outer periphery of the top block, the width of the tapered portion near the end of the connecting channel is smaller than the width of the tapered portion near the French interface, the two clamping portions disengage from the top block when the sliding member is in the release position, and the two clamping portions abut against the tapered portion and squeeze the top block when the sliding member is in the clamping position.

An air pump connector applicable to different nozzles as described in claim 3, wherein the head includes a pressing member, the American-style insertion hole is disposed on the sliding member and the pressing member, the first airtight part is disposed on the sliding member and the second airtight part is disposed on the pressing member, one side of the pressing member abuts against the sliding member and the other side abuts against the first airtight ring.

7. An air pump connector applicable to different nozzles as described in claim 3, wherein the head includes a lever pivotally mounted on the end of the housing opposite to the American and French interfaces, rotatably between a depressed position and a raised position, the lever abutting against a sliding member, the sliding member moving to the released position when the lever is in the depressed position, and the lever pushing the sliding member to the tightened position when the lever is in the raised position.

8. An air pump connector applicable to different nozzles as described in claim 7, wherein the head includes a pin that is inserted into the housing through the housing and the lever, the lever being rotatable relative to the housing about the pin.

9. The air pump connector applicable to different air nozzles as described in claim 3, wherein the core includes a core rod, a first airtight component, and a second airtight component. The core rod is movably disposed within the American-style socket along an axis parallel to the American-style socket. The first airtight component and the second airtight component are respectively sleeved on the outer periphery of the core rod. When the core is in the American-style position, the first airtight component abuts against the first airtight portion, and the second airtight component disengages from the second airtight portion. When the core is in the French-style position, the first airtight component disengages from the first airtight portion, and the second airtight component abuts against the second airtight portion.

10. An air pump connector applicable to different air nozzles as described in claim 9, wherein the outer periphery of the mandrel is provided with a first narrow section, a second narrow section and a wide section, the first narrow section and the second narrow section are respectively provided at opposite ends of the mandrel, the wide section is provided between the first narrow section and the second narrow section, the width of the first narrow section along the radial direction of the American socket and the width of the second narrow section along the radial direction of the American socket are both smaller than the width of the wide section along the radial direction of the American socket, the first airtight member is sleeved on the first narrow section and abuts against the wide section, and the second airtight member is sleeved on the second narrow section and abuts against the wide section.

11. The air pump connector applicable to different nozzles as described in claim 10, wherein the switching module includes an elastic member disposed in the American socket and located on the side of the mandrel opposite to the American interface, one end of the elastic member abutting against the sliding member and the other end abutting against the mandrel, the elastic member being capable of pushing the mandrel to the French position.
