Construction assembly of steel structure buildings and the self-tapping screws used thereon

Abstract

A construction assembly for steel structures and the self-tapping screws used therein are disclosed. Metal plates are installed around the steel structure surrounding the building, and self-tapping screws penetrate and fix the metal plates to the steel structure from the outside in. The self-tapping screw has a head, from which a tapping shank extends in a tapered shape. The head of the self-tapping screw is primarily a threaded shank, which is engaged with a threaded hole in the center of a polygonal sleeve. The other end of the sleeve's threaded hole allows for the bolting of scaffolding tie rods. This design meets the safety requirements for scaffolding erection in steel structure construction projects, improves construction efficiency, makes on-site construction more convenient and faster, and saves manpower, time, and costs. Furthermore, after the construction is completed, the scaffolding, tie rods, and sleeves can be quickly disassembled, maintaining a smooth and aesthetically pleasing appearance on the outer surface of the metal plates surrounding the building.

Claims

1. A steel structure construction assembly, comprising covering the outer side of the steel structure around the building with metal plates, and using self-tapping screws to penetrate and fix the metal plates to the steel structure from the outside in. The self-tapping screw has a head, and a tapping shank extends from one end of the head, tapering in diameter. The self-tapping screw is characterized in that: the head of the self-tapping screw is a threaded shank, and an outwardly expanding flange is provided between the threaded shank and the tapping shank; the self-tapping screw is locked into one end of the threaded hole in the center of a polygonal sleeve, and the other end of the threaded hole in the sleeve can be used to lock and fix a bolt for a scaffolding wall tie rod.

2. The steel structure construction assembly as described in claim 1, wherein a water-stop washer is fitted at the junction of the tapping shank and the flange of the self-tapping screw.

3. The steel structure construction assembly as described in claim 1, wherein the self-tapping screw has a washer fitted at the junction of the threaded shank and the flange.

A self-tapping screw used in the construction of steel structures, the self-tapping screw having a head, and a tapping shank extending from one end of the head with a narrowed diameter; characterized in that: the head of the self-tapping screw is provided as a threaded shank, and an outwardly expanding flange is provided between the threaded shank and the tapping shank.

5. The self-tapping screw used in the construction assembly of steel structures as described in claim 4, wherein a water-stopping washer is fitted at the junction of the tapping shank and the flange of the self-tapping screw.

The self-tapping screw used in the construction assembly of steel structure buildings as described in claim 4, wherein the threaded shank of the self-tapping screw is connected to a detachable polygonal sleeve, the sleeve has a threaded hole in the center, one end of the threaded hole of the sleeve is locked to the threaded shank, and the other end of the threaded hole of the sleeve is connected to and locked to a scaffolding wall tie rod for fixation.

7. The self-tapping screw used in the construction assembly of steel structures as described in claim 6, wherein a washer is fitted at the junction of the threaded shank and the flange of the self-tapping screw.
