Abstract

This invention discloses a nose pad assembly structure for selectively attaching to the outside of existing eyeglasses or wearing directly. It includes a frame and a detachable, snap-on nose pad. The inner side of the bridge of the frame has a recessed groove, allowing for seamless attachment to existing eyeglasses after the nose pad is removed. The snap-on nose pad includes a nose pad body, a base protrusion, and eccentrically arranged interlocking latches. During assembly, the base protrusion restricts displacement in the first and second directions, and the latches restrict displacement in the third direction, forming a stable three-dimensional restraint. Furthermore, the frame has a demolding channel communicating with the groove, and a second end with a guide slope corresponding to the latch allows external tools to be inserted to push and demold. The frame also features a deep mounting groove with a high-friction structure, ensuring a secure fit and extending the frame's lifespan, achieving a dual-use functionality.

Claims

1. A nose pad assembly structure for selectively fitting onto the outside of an existing pair of eyeglasses or for direct wear by a user, defining a first direction, a second direction, and a third direction perpendicular to each other, and the assembly structure comprising: a frame including two lens portions and a bridge connecting the two lens portions, the bridge having a recessed groove on its inner side; and a snap-on nose pad detachably attached to the frame, the snap-on nose pad including a nose pad body, a base protrusion extending from the top of the nose pad body along the second direction, and a latch disposed on the base protrusion; wherein... When the snap-on nose pad is combined with the eyeglass frame, the base protrusion is at least partially accommodated in the groove to limit the displacement of the snap-on nose pad in the first and second directions; the latch engages inside the groove to limit the displacement of the snap-on nose pad in the third direction.
