Abstract

A housing for a linear actuator includes a body portion and a plurality of heat dissipation portions. The body portion is a hollow cylindrical shape and has an outer surface and an inner surface, extending along a central axis. The plurality of heat dissipation portions are formed on the outer surface of the body portion, each heat dissipation portion being recessed from the outer surface of the body portion toward the inner surface, and the plurality of heat dissipation portions are distributed and arranged in a manner that is neither along the central axis nor in a radial direction, where the radial direction refers to the direction perpendicular to the central axis.

Claims

1. A housing for a linear actuator, comprising: A body portion, which is hollow cylindrical in shape, has an outer surface and an inner surface, and extends along a central axis; And a plurality of heat dissipation portions are formed on the outer surface of the body portion, each of the heat dissipation portions being recessed from the outer surface of the body portion toward the inner surface, and the heat dissipation portions being distributed and arranged in a manner that is not along the central axis direction and not along a radial direction, the radial direction referring to the direction perpendicular to the central axis.

2. The housing of the linear actuator as described in claim 1, wherein each heat dissipation portion has a groove wall and a groove bottom, the groove wall having a first end and a second end opposite to each other, the first end being connected to the outer surface, the second end being connected to the groove bottom, and a chamfer being formed at the connection between the first end and the outer surface.

3. The housing of the linear actuator as described in claim 2, wherein the second end forms the chamfer at the connection point with the bottom of the slot.

4. The housing of the linear actuator as claimed in claim 1, wherein each heat dissipation portion has a groove wall and a groove bottom, the groove wall having a first end and a second end opposite to each other, the first end being connected to the outer surface, the second end being connected to the groove bottom, and a chamfer being formed at the connection between the second end and the groove bottom.

5. The housing of the linear actuator as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the heat dissipation portions is in the shape of a straight line, and the heat dissipation portions are arranged obliquely parallel to each other on the outer surface relative to the central axis.

6. The housing of the linear actuator as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the heat dissipation portions is in the shape of a straight line, and the heat dissipation portions are arranged obliquely to each other on the outer surface relative to the central axis.

7. The housing of the linear actuator as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the heat dissipation portions is circular in shape and the heat dissipation portions have at least two different diameters.

8. The housing of the linear actuator as described in claim 7, wherein the heat dissipation portions are randomly arranged on the outer surface.

9. The housing of the linear actuator as claimed in claim 1, wherein each of the heat dissipation portions is wavy in shape and the heat dissipation portions are distributed around the central axis on the outer surface.
