Abstract

This invention relates to a two-stage side slider mechanism used in injection molding molds. It primarily addresses the problem of products with undercuts, side holes, or angled holes that cannot be directly demolded along the mold opening direction. Its operation utilizes the linear motion generated during mold opening and closing. Through the design of inclined guide pillars and inclined surfaces, this linear displacement is converted into lateral and oblique movement of the slider. During mold closing, the inclined guide pillars push the mandrel slider into the correct position, forming a complete cavity. During demolding, the mandrel slider retracts with the inclined guide pillars, removing the undercut constraint and allowing the product to be demolded smoothly. The two-stage side slider mechanism effectively improves the mold's adaptability to complex product structures and can be applied to various precision plastic products, playing a crucial role in enhancing mold structure design and molding stability.

Claims

1. A two-stage side slider mechanism, comprising a mandrel slider, a slant slider, a main slider, and a slant guide post, wherein the slant guide hole of the slant slider is connected to the slant guide post, and the slant guide post moves upward during mold opening, causing the slant slider to undergo a first-stage lateral displacement. The slant slider's T-slot is connected to the mandrel slider's T-shaped feature, and this connection allows the mandrel slider to move along the undercut direction and disengage the mandrel from the undercut hole when the slant slider moves laterally. The main slider is mounted on the slant slider and has a slant guide groove inside. When the slant slider moves laterally to align the slant guide hole with the slant guide groove, the slant guide post continues to move upward, causing the main slider and the slant slider to move simultaneously, resulting in a second-stage lateral displacement, allowing the molded product to be easily demolded.

2. The second-order side slider mechanism as described in claim 1, wherein the mandrel slider has a mandrel surface that is upright at one end and at least one rectangular groove at the other end to form a T-shaped feature, and is obliquely installed at an undercut angle so that the mandrel slider retracts along a predetermined undercut direction during the first stage of side sliding.

3. The second-order side slider mechanism as described in claim 1, wherein the inclined groove slider is provided with inclined guide holes that cooperate with inclined guide posts, and flanges are formed on both sides of the bottom to cooperate with the groove of the main slider, so that the movement direction of the inclined groove slider is restricted to the left and right sides, avoiding vertical or rotational displacement.

4. The second-order side slider mechanism as described in claim 1, wherein the main slider has a chamber inside for the installation and movement of the inclined groove slider, and an inclined guide groove is provided on the main slider so that the inclined guide post corresponds to the inclined guide hole of the inclined groove slider at different mold opening stages to realize segmented side sliding operation.

5. The second-order side slider mechanism as described in claim 1, wherein the inclined guide post can be a single post or multiple posts, and can be configured as a symmetrical or asymmetrical structure according to the mold requirements, so as to improve the stability and applicability of the side sliding motion.
