Abstract
Claims
1. A vehicle power supply management system, comprising: a first battery pack including a plurality of first single batteries electrically connected to each other, a first battery management unit and a first battery disconnection unit, the first battery management unit being configured to estimate a first state of charge of the first single batteries, and the first battery disconnection unit being configured to connect or disconnect a power supply circuit between the first single batteries and an external DC load; a second battery pack including a plurality of second single batteries electrically connected to each other, a second battery management unit and a second battery disconnection unit, the second battery management unit being configured to estimate a second state of charge of the second single batteries, and the second battery disconnection unit being configured to connect or disconnect a power supply circuit between the second single batteries and the external DC load; wherein the first and second battery management units are configured to determine whether to perform a switching operation based on the first and second states of charge, and to control the electrical connection state between the first and second battery disconnection units and the DC load respectively based on the result of the determination.
2. The vehicle power supply management system as claimed in claim 1 further includes: a vehicle control unit for performing the switching operation in response to the result of the determination, thereby adjusting the vehicle's power.
3. The vehicle power supply management system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first battery management unit is used to increase or decrease a charging current of the first battery pack during a charging operation based on the first state of charge exceeding a preset range, wherein the preset range is 20% to 80%.
4. The vehicle power supply management system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first battery management unit is configured to adjust a charging current of the first battery pack during a charging operation based on the temperature of the first battery pack exceeding a preset range, the preset range being defined based on the operating temperature set for a plurality of cells in the first battery pack.
5. The vehicle power supply management system as claimed in claim 4, wherein the preset range is set based on an upper limit and a lower limit of the operating temperature of the battery cell, and the preset range is 110% of the lower limit to 90% of the upper limit.
6. The vehicle power supply management system as claimed in claim 1 further includes: a vehicle control unit coupled to the first and second battery management units, wherein the vehicle control unit is configured to perform the switching operation in response to the result of the determination, thereby disabling at least one device of the vehicle to reduce vehicle power.
7. The vehicle power supply management system as claimed in claim 6, wherein the first and second battery management units are configured to perform the switching operation in response to the completion of the shutdown of the at least one device.
8. The vehicle power supply management system as claimed in claim 7, wherein the first battery management unit is configured to sense a voltage value of the first battery pack after the switching operation is completed, wherein when the first battery management unit determines that the voltage value is not a normal value, the first and second battery management units re-execute the switching operation.
9. An electric vehicle comprising a vehicle power supply management system as described in any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the electric vehicle further comprises: a controller for controlling the operation of the electric vehicle; and a DC-to-AC converter for supplying power to the controller, wherein the first and second battery management units are further configured to control the electrical connection state between the first and second battery disconnection units and the DC-to-AC converter.
10. The electric vehicle as claimed in claim 9, wherein before power is supplied to a motor, the first and second battery management units determine whether to perform the switching operation to connect the higher state of charge of the first and second battery packs to the motor.
