Abstract

This invention discloses a patient identification system and an electronic identification device. The patient identification system includes a central processing unit and multiple electronic identification devices. The central processing unit can transmit Bluetooth broadcast information to each electronic identification device. Each electronic identification device includes a housing, a processing module, a storage unit, a near-field communication module, an electronic paper display, and a Bluetooth communication module. The storage unit stores multiple pieces of pre-stored information. The near-field communication module can receive update information transmitted from external near-field communication devices. The processing module can control the electronic paper display to display at least one of the pre-stored information, update information, and Bluetooth broadcast information. When the Bluetooth communication module receives Bluetooth broadcast information, the processing module controls the electronic paper display to display at least one piece of pre-stored information with a corresponding color or pattern based on the Bluetooth broadcast information.

Claims

1. A patient identification system comprising: a central processing unit including an operation module for providing user operation to generate Bluetooth broadcast information; a plurality of electronic identification devices, each of the electronic identification devices comprising: a housing; a processing module disposed within the housing; a storage device electrically connected to the processing module for storing a plurality of pre-stored information entries; wherein one of the pre-stored information entries contains patient data; a near-field communication module electrically connected to the processing module for communicating with an external near-field communication device to transmit the pre-stored information to the external near-field communication device, or to receive update information transmitted by the external near-field communication device; and a Bluetooth communication module electrically connected to the processing module for receiving the Bluetooth broadcast information transmitted by the central processing unit. An electronic paper display is electrically connected to the processing module; the processing module can control the electronic paper display to display at least one of the pre-stored information, the updated information, and the Bluetooth broadcast information; wherein... The processing module is used to control the electronic paper display to display at least one piece of the pre-stored information in a corresponding color or pattern when the Bluetooth communication module receives the Bluetooth broadcast information.

2. The patient identification system as described in claim 1, wherein, The housing of each of the aforementioned electronic identification devices includes a hook structure for providing a lanyard for securing it.

3. The patient identification system as described in claim 1, wherein, Each of the aforementioned electronic identification devices also includes a magnet disposed within the housing.

4. The patient identification system as described in claim 1, wherein, Each of the electronic identification devices further includes a power supply unit for providing power to the processing module, the storage, the near-field communication module, the Bluetooth communication module, and the electronic paper display for operation; the processing module can control the electronic paper display to display at least one piece of the pre-stored information when the power supply unit's power level is lower than a preset power level.

5. The patient identification system as described in claim 1, wherein, Each of the processing modules is used to control the electronic paper display to display the update information and the patient information in corresponding colors or patterns when the near-field communication module receives the update information, based on the update information and the patient information.

6. An electronic identification device comprising: a housing; a processing module disposed within the housing; a storage device electrically connected to the processing module, the storage device being used to store multiple pre-stored information entries; wherein one of the pre-stored information entries includes patient data; a near-field communication (NFC) module electrically connected to the processing module, the NFC module being used to communicate with an external NFC device to transmit the patient data to the external NFC device, or to receive update information transmitted by the external NFC device; a Bluetooth communication module electrically connected to the processing module, the Bluetooth communication module being used to receive Bluetooth broadcast information transmitted by a central processing unit of a medical institution; and an electronic paper display electrically connected to the processing module; the processing module being capable of controlling the electronic paper display to display at least one of the patient data, the update information, and the Bluetooth broadcast information; wherein... The processing module is used to control the electronic paper display to display at least one piece of the pre-stored information in a corresponding color or pattern when the Bluetooth communication module receives the Bluetooth broadcast information.

7. The electronic identification device as claimed in claim 6, wherein, The housing of each of the aforementioned electronic identification devices includes a hook structure for providing a lanyard for securing it.

8. The electronic identification device as claimed in claim 6, wherein, Each of the aforementioned electronic identification devices also includes a magnet disposed within the housing.

9. The electronic identification device as claimed in claim 6, wherein, Each of the aforementioned electronic identification devices further includes a power supply unit for providing power required for the operation of the processing module, the storage, the near-field communication module, the Bluetooth communication module, and the electronic paper display; the processing module can control the electronic paper display to display at least one piece of the pre-stored information when the power supply unit's power level is lower than a preset power level.

10. The electronic identification device as claimed in claim 6, wherein, Each of the processing modules is used to control the electronic paper display to display the update information and the patient information in corresponding colors or patterns when the near-field communication module receives the update information, based on the update information and the patient information.
