Abstract
Claims
1. A linkage-type bar adjustment mechanism, applied to an adjustable dumbbell, the adjustable dumbbell having a hollow handle and two main bar plate assemblies respectively connected to both ends of the hollow handle, the linkage-type bar adjustment mechanism comprising: a connecting rod rotatably disposed within the hollow handle; two auxiliary bar plates respectively located at both ends of the connecting rod and each having a slot; two connecting arms extending outward from both ends of the connecting rod and capable of rotating the connecting rod relative to the hollow handle under external force; and two locking blocks, each locking with one of the connecting arms and moving between a locking position and a non-locking position, wherein when each locking block is in the locking position, each locking block is locked into its respective slot, and when each locking block is in the non-locking position, each locking block disengages from its respective slot.
2. The linkage lever adjustment mechanism as described in claim 1, wherein, Each of the locking blocks has a through hole for the connecting arm to pass through.
3. The linkage lever adjustment mechanism as described in claim 2 further includes two guide rails, each guide rail having a guide rail for guiding the movement of one of the locking blocks, and a housing covering the guide rail, and each of the auxiliary levers having a locking seat for locking onto the housing.
4. The linkage lever adjustment mechanism as described in claim 3, wherein, The linkage arm has a handle at its end located outside the housing, which is operated by the user to pivot the linkage.
5. The linkage lever adjustment mechanism as described in claim 3 further includes a turntable disposed on the side of the housing, the turntable having a knob connected to a linkage arm for operation by a user to pivot the linkage.
6. The linkage lever adjustment mechanism as claimed in claim 1 further includes a rotary handle having a gear portion, and a locking block having a rack meshing with the gear portion, and an abutting groove abutting with a linkage arm.
7. The linkage lever adjustment mechanism as described in claim 6 further includes two guide rails, each guide rail having a guide rail for guiding the movement of one of the locking blocks, and a housing covering the guide rail, and each of the auxiliary levers having a locking seat for locking onto the housing.
8. The linkage lever adjustment mechanism as described in claim 7, wherein, The rotary handle has a grip at one end located outside the housing for user operation.
9. The linkage lever adjustment mechanism as described in claim 1, wherein, Each of the connecting arms is parallel to each other and extends radially along the connecting rod.
10. The linkage lever adjustment mechanism as claimed in claim 1 further includes at least one fixed rod connected to each of the levers.
11. An adjustable dumbbell comprising: a hollow handle; two main plate assemblies respectively connected to both ends of the hollow handle; and a linkage plate adjustment mechanism as described in any one of claims 1 to 10, partially disposed within the hollow handle.
12. The adjustable dumbbell as described in claim 11, wherein, Each of the main lever assembly has a first main lever piece connected to the hollow grip, and a plurality of second main lever pieces. Each of the second main lever pieces has a convex engagement portion and a concave engagement portion on opposite sides. Each of the first main lever pieces has the convex engagement portion or the concave engagement portion facing away from the hollow grip. Each of the first main lever pieces and each of the second main lever pieces are engaged through the convex engagement portion and the concave engagement portion.
13. The adjustable dumbbell as claimed in claim 12 further comprises two control members, and each of the convex joints has a receiving groove located inside the convex joint, a slot for inserting a control member and communicating with the receiving groove, and a fastener located in the receiving groove; and each of the concave joints has a fastening groove for the fastener to engage, wherein when the control member is not inserted into the slot, the fastener is held in a locking position and continuously engaged in the fastening groove, and when the control member is inserted into the slot, the fastener is moved from the locking position to a non-locking position by the control member and disengages from the fastening groove.
14. The adjustable dumbbell as described in claim 13, wherein, Each of the fasteners has a fastener tab, a protrusion disposed on the fastener tab, and an elastic member that abuts against the fastener tab. When the fastener tab is in the locking position, the elastic member continuously pushes against the fastener tab, causing the fastener tab to engage with the groove of the recessed joint. When the control member is inserted into the slot, the control member can push against the protrusion to move the fastener tab out of the groove of the recessed joint, thereby moving it from the locking position to the non-locking position.
15. The adjustable dumbbell as claimed in claim 13 further includes a base having a base plate and two limiting portions disposed on the base plate and respectively for abutting against each of the main bar plate assemblies.
16. The adjustable dumbbell as described in claim 15, wherein, The base has two positioning blocks, each with a groove for engaging one of the auxiliary lever pieces.
17. The adjustable dumbbell as described in claim 15, wherein, Each of the limiting parts has a slot for placing one of the control components.
18. The adjustable dumbbell as described in claim 15, wherein, The base plate has a plurality of positioning holes disposed on the base plate for fixing each of the limiting parts. By fixing each of the limiting parts to different positioning holes, the distance between the limiting parts can be adjusted.
