Abstract

A medical sheath includes a base suitable for adhesion to the skin and a protective sleeve. The protective sleeve includes two first sidewalls formed on the base and extending parallel to each other along a first direction, defining a first receiving groove for a first tubing; two second sidewalls defining a second receiving groove for a second tubing; and four third sidewalls extending in opposite directions along a second direction. These third sidewalls define a third receiving groove for a third tubing. A mounting area is suitable for securing a three-way piston for operating the first, second, and third tubing. This medical sheath is easy to operate, and after use, the tubing to be sampled or flushed can be directly disassembled without requiring complete disassembly or repackaging.

Claims

1. A medical sheath, comprising: a base adapted for adhesion to skin; and a sheath disposed on the base, including two first sidewalls formed on the base and extending parallel to each other along a first direction and defining a first receiving groove adapted for a first conduit; two second sidewalls spaced apart from the first sidewalls along the first direction and defining a second receiving groove adapted for a second conduit; and four third sidewalls extending from the inner ends of the first sidewalls and the second sidewalls along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction toward opposite sides, the third sidewalls defining a third receiving groove adapted for a third conduit and communicating with the first and second receiving grooves, defining the junctions between the first, second, and third receiving grooves to form a mounting area, the mounting area being adapted to fix a three-way piston for operating the first, second, and third conduits.

2. The medical sheath as described in claim 1, wherein, Each of the second sidewalls of the base has a body segment connecting to the third sidewall on the same side, and a baffle extending from the body segment along the first direction. The baffles have two top edges that approach each other along the second direction, and two abutments that gradually widen from the corresponding top edges toward the base. The second receiving groove is divided into an opening formed between the body segments and a connecting opening formed between the baffles and communicating with the opening, and the diameter of the opening is smaller than that of the opening.

3. The medical sheath as described in claim 2, wherein, The width of the connection is substantially equal to the width of the second pipe.

4. The medical sheath as claimed in claim 1 further comprises two fasteners disposed on either side of the first sidewall and on either side of the second sidewall, and adapted to fix the first conduit and the second conduit respectively.

5. The medical sheath as described in claim 4, wherein, These fasteners are flexible.

6. The medical sheath as described in claim 5, wherein, These fasteners are Velcro.

7. The medical sheath as described in claim 1, wherein, The base and the protective cover are made of silicone or a skin-friendly material.

8. The medical sheath as claimed in claim 2 further includes a base disposed between the base and the sheath.

9. The medical sheath as described in claim 8, wherein, The angle between the abutment and the base is rounded.

10. The medical sheath as described in claim 8, wherein, The base forms a downward-recessed, square-shaped groove that communicates with the mounting area.
