Abstract

A protective device for an eddy current probe is disclosed, suitable for insertion into a pipeline having an inner wall surface. The device comprises a body extending along an axis into the pipeline and a transmission line electrically connected to the body. The body includes a sensing element, two screw members, an elastic member, and two buffer members. The buffer members are rotatable relative to the screw members and press the elastic member along the axis from opposite sides toward the sensing element, causing the elastic member to expand and press against the pipeline. The transmission line extends through one of the screw members to electrically connect to the sensing element and is suitable for signal connection to a monitoring instrument. By utilizing the characteristic that the buffer members can rotate relative to the screw members to press the elastic member, direct contact between the sensing element and the inner wall surface can be avoided, thereby extending the service life of the sensing element.

Claims

1. A protection device for an eddy current probe, suitable for insertion into a pipeline having an inner wall surface, and comprising: a body adapted to extend along an axis into the pipeline, and including a sensing element adapted to generate eddy current induction in the pipeline; two screw members spaced apart along the axis on opposite sides of the sensing element; an elastic member detachably screwed to the screw members and extending along the axis into the sensing element; and two buffer members screwed to the screw members from opposite ends, wherein... The buffers are rotatable relative to the screw and press the elastic element along the axis from opposite sides toward the sensor, so that the elastic element expands and abuts against the pipeline; and a transmission line electrically connected to the body and used to pass through one of the screws to electrically connect to the sensor, and is suitable for signal connection to a monitoring instrument.

2. The protection device for the eddy current probe as described in claim 1, wherein, Each of the buffers has a body extending along the axis and used to abut against the elastic member, a spiral connecting portion connecting the body, and a buffer tip connecting the connecting portion.

3. The protection device for the eddy current probe as described in claim 1 or 2, wherein, The cushioning element is made of a wear-resistant material.
