Abstract
Dust separator for air purification consists of a vertical cylindrical housing with a conical bottom—a hopper—and a pipe for removing dust from it, an exhaust pipe, an inlet pipe positioned tangentially to the housing for feeding in a dust-laden air stream, an outlet pipe, and a cover. A removable liner made of polymer or metal is inside the cylindrical housing. The side surface of the liner is corrugated in a spiral pattern, with the coils oriented opposite to the direction of airflow rotation inside the cylindrical housing. In the exhaust pipe, at a distance of five to seven pipe diameters from the lower end, a diffuser is formed, the lateral generatrix of which is angled at a degree exceeding the angle of internal friction of the fine and dust-like particles contained in the airflow and moving through the exhaust pipe. The end of the diffuser is connected to the end of the confuser, which is connected at its opposite end to the exhaust pipe. The exhaust pipe is connected to a centrifugal air pump mounted on the cover of the cylindrical housing and connected to an outlet pipe for discharging purified air.
