Abstract

Combined support system for a development heading comprises a supporting element and anchors. The supporting element consists of a metal mesh secured by clamping bars, which are positioned along the roof and sidewalls of the heading, and by cable and rod anchors of varying lengths; these anchors serve as load-bearing elements and are installed through holes in the supporting bars. The base of the roof supporting bars makes contact with reinforcing beams installed within the zone of influence of extraction operations.
