Abstract

The proposed implementation options include methods for processing information, network equipment, location entities, terminal devices, location measurement clusters, and storage media. The method includes the following steps: generating, by network equipment, the first configuration information of the uplink reference signal, where the first configuration information includes the first mapping correlation between the uplink reference signal resource and the first information, which is the downlink reference signal information of the LMU position measurement cluster, and the LMU is a different LMU from the base station serving; and sending, by network equipment, the first configuration information to the terminal equipment. The terminal can send location signals on the configured uplink reference signal resource as indicated by the first configuration information, so that the LMU corresponding to the first information on the uplink reference signal resource can receive the location signal, thereby performing UTDOA positioning in the NR system.
