Abstract
The invention relates to a chemical system and method for producing paper, cardboard or similar materials, comprising a first component which is glycylated polyacrylamide of net charge density and obtained by glyoxylation of a cationic polyacrylamide matrix polymer of a mass mean molecular weight (MW) in the range of 30,000 - 500,000 g / mol. This system also includes a second component, which consists of a mixture of at least one powder with a high amylopectin content, and a first anionic polymer with a molecular weight MW >200,000 g / mol. The second component has a net cation charge density ranging from 0.05 meq / g to 0.9 meq / g, when measured at pH 2.8, and a net anion charge density ranging from -2 meq / g to -0.1 meq / g, when measured at pH 7.
