Graphics processing methods and machines

Abstract

The invention relates to methods and machines for processing graphic images. The machine is capable of configuring billboards associated with the first frame viewpoint in a series of frames, the billboards are configured in one or more layers at least one part around the viewpoint, the configuration of the billboards is based on one or more parts of the volume between at least one of the many billboards and the viewpoint. The machine can also output images associated with each of one or more volumetric elements between at least one of the multiple billboards and the viewport; the output image will consist of a set of pixels. The machine can also store data in at least one billboard based on the output image associated with each of one or more volumetric elements; the data corresponds to a set of pixels.
