Three-dimensional object heating system

Abstract

The invention relates to a system and method for providing heat to a two-dimensional article. This method may include at least partial insertion of the article onto a mold. This method may also include insertion of the mold and article at least partially into the article holder and movement of the mold and article into a flexible membrane such that the membrane and article holder form an airtight chamber. This method may also include a step where an airtight chamber is placed at a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure to pull the film into at least part of the object and to allow the film to come into contact with a heated, deformable medium.
