Abstract

This invention relates to methods for decoding and encoding images, and methods for transmitting image data to perform in-image forecasting using reference sample lines. The image decoding method may include configuring reference sample lines, reconstructing the in-image forecasting mode of the current block, and performing in-image forecasting for the current block based on the in-image forecasting mode and multiple reference sample lines.
