Abstract

The term "wireless positioning" refers to the techniques used for wireless positioning, specifically the user device and the wireless positioning methods employed by the user device. In one respect, the user equipment (IJE) receives, from the location server, during the positioning preparation phase of the positioning session, a position information request, which includes the measurement time at which the UE is expected to perform one or more positioning measurements during the first positioning execution phase of the positioning session, and transmits, to the serving base station, the request for the measurement cycles. The requirements for measurement cycles include the required offset for one or more measurement cycles to perform one or more positioning measurements and at least the first start time for one or more measurement cycles, where the first start time is greater than the required offset.
