Abstract

The invention proposes a drive assembly for a camcorder module. The drive assembly includes a horizontal drive for the movement of the image sensor of the camera module in one or more directions perpendicular to the optical axis of the camcorder module. The drive assembly also includes a vertical drive for the movement of the image sensor in one or more directions parallel to the optical axis of the camera module. The drive unit also includes a support frame that holds part of the horizontal drive and part of the vertical drive. The support frame moves with the image sensor in one or more directions perpendicular to the optical axis of the camera module and is stationary relative to the movement of the image sensor in one or more directions parallel to the optical axis of the camera module.
