Abstract

The invention relates to a method for encoding / decoding images and a means of recording and reading them using a bitstream storage computer. The image decoding method includes the following steps: inferring the movement information of the current block using a candidate list, creating a predicted block of the current block using the current block's movement information, and adding the current block's movement information to the candidate list, where this candidate list is used to predict the next image for the block decoded after the current block.
