Abstract

The invention relates to methods, systems and devices for wireless communication at user equipment and base stations. User equipment (UE) can indicate support for extended cyclic prefix (ECP), where the timing of the ECP or transmission of the ECP is based on the indicator. In some cases, the LE can receive uplink permission to transmit uplink messages with the indicator of the ECP, and the UE can transmit ECP and uplink messages in a time stream based in part on the ECP. Alternatively, the uplink channel allocation indicated in the uplink authorization may include the starting point for the ECP, where the UE transmits the ECP at the starting point. In some cases, the LE may multiplex uplink control information (UCI) in the uplink channel based on a timeline that is partly based on the ECP.
