Wireless communication devices and methods of wireless communication by these devices

Abstract

The term refers to the methods, equipment, and systems for generating packet headers. More specifically, it addresses several implementations involving header designs that support the throughput gain achieved by the IEEE 802.1 Ibe revision, and future generations of the IEEE 802.11 standard. Among other examples, the preamble designs of the invention's implementations could enable more reliable packet detection, more accurate channel estimation, and more robust decoding of signal field symbols (SIGs). Furthermore, or otherwise, the invention's preamble designs could be implemented with different bandwidths, modulation schemes, or transmit power than preamble designs compliant with existing versions of the IEEE 802.11 standard. Specifically, the invention relates to a wireless communication device and a method of wireless communication by such device.
