Abstract

The method implemented by the user device (UE) to enhance the field measurement minimization of drive test (MDT) framework includes receiving a recorded message with the recorded measurement configuration from the base station. This method also initiates the field measurement minimization (MDT) session in response to the received recorded message. This method also determines the state of the UE component and selects a set of recorded measurement types from a number of recorded measurement types based on the priority level of each recorded measurement type when the state satisfies the state criteria. This method also generates an MDT log at each recording session among many recording sessions based on the collected measurement results for the set of recorded measurement types when the state satisfies the state criteria.
