Abstract

The invention relates to a method for decoding and encoding video data and a computer-readable, immutable recording medium, in which the invention proposes a method and apparatus for transforming or inverting current images, using multi-core converters in the process of encoding and decoding video data.The video data decoding method proposed in this invention to solve this technical problem may include the following steps: acquiring, from the bit stream, information about the multi-core transform technique indicating whether or not multi-core transforms are used according to the size of the current image block; acquiring, from the bit stream, information about the horizontal transform and information about the vertical transform when multi-core transforms are used according to the multi-core transform technique information; determining the horizontal transform for the current image block according to the information about the horizontal transform; determining the vertical transform for the current image block according to the information about the vertical transform; and performing the inverse transform on the current image block, using the horizontal and vertical transforms.
