Abstract

This invention relates to encrypted communication between end devices and service applications via a traditional network. Specifically, the invention relates to a method of generating application encryption keys by end devices to transmit encrypted data over a communication network between end devices and service applications. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method of generating application encryption keys by a network node managing the application encryption keys within the communication network to transmit encrypted data over the communication network between end devices and service applications. Moreover, the invention relates to a device comprising one or more processors and one or more memories. Such encrypted communication can be based on different hierarchical levels of encryption keys generated and managed by the communication network.Encrypted communication and encryption key management can be deployed by the communication network to end devices as a registered flag service. Different levels of encryption keys can be managed to improve the flexibility of the communication network and reduce potential security breaches.
