METHODS AND EQUIPMENT FOR LOCATION OF TERMINAL DEVICES AND STORAGE MEDIA READABLE BY A PROCESSOR

Abstract

The invention proposes a method and apparatus for locating terminal devices and storage media that are readable by a processor. This method comprises: a first network element receiving the first message from the terminal device, in which the first message includes location Quality of Service (QoS) information; transmitting a second message to the first network device, in which the second message includes location QoS information or initial location support data corresponding to the location QoS information; receiving the first target location support data transmitted by the first network device and transmitting the first target location support data to the second network device, in which the first target location support data is associated with the location QoS information; receiving the first location measurement from the first network device and the second location measurement from the second network device; and determine the terminal device's location information using the first and second positioning measurements.According to the invention, it is possible not only to ensure positioning accuracy and positioning latency for the terminal device, but also to reduce system resource costs and minimize resource waste.
