Abstract

The invention proposes a peelable and sealable lid. This peelable and sealable lid is constructed from a metal matrix and a sealant layer, the sealant layer containing (A) 70-89% by weight of a copolymer with one or more polymerized olefin monomers and one or more polymerized ethylene unsaturated (poly)carboxylic acid monomers, (B) 10-29% by weight of a copolymer consisting of one or more polymerized (inet)acrylate ester monomers, and (C) 1-10% by weight of one or more inorganic particles characterized by a mass mean diameter (Di) between 1 and 5 microns. Furthermore, the invention proposes a method for producing a peelable and sealable lid and a sealable container.
