Abstract
The invention proposes a process for treating non-biodegradable organic matter in drinking water sources, including the following steps: (i) Fenton reaction treatment; (ii) Ozonation treatment; (iii) Coagulation / flocculation treatment; (iv) Filtration; and (v) Disinfection. The process described in the invention applies the Fenton reaction combined with ozonation and other supplementary methods such as coagulation / flocculation, UV application, etc., in water treatment. The process described in the invention improves the efficiency of treating water polluted with waste, suspended solids, and organic matter, so that the treated water becomes suitable for domestic use.
