Abstract

The invention relates to a vehicle with a safety mechanism for folding and locking, comprising a vehicle body, steering shaft, steering mechanism, front wheel, suspension assembly, and rear wheel. The steering shaft comprises a steering shaft body, a key-operated switching mechanism, a pivot shaft, a locking assembly, and a switching handle with a locking pin. The key-operated switching mechanism is fixed in place within the steering shaft body and extends with a stop. The switching handle is attached to the locking assembly, such that the locking assembly can be selectively fastened to or removed from the vehicle body. When the key is unlocked for the key-operated switching mechanism, the stop is attached to the locking pin, to engage the locking pin with the switching handle, and to prevent the switching handle from escaping from the locked position.When in the key-locked position with the key-operated switch mechanism, the stopper disengages from the locking pin; and after pressing down on the locking pin, the locking pin can be detached from the switch handle, allowing the switch handle to be adjusted to the unlocked position.
