Abstract

The design of the medical catheter is such that the position of its distal end can be easily detected from outside the patient's body, regardless of the orientation of the distal end when inserted into the body. The medical catheter consists of: a main body in the shape of a tube; at least one opening formed on the side of the main body; and a light-transmitting element formed at one end of the main body, this light-transmitting element is hemispherical in shape, and is structured to emit light from a light source.
