Abstract
The invention relates to a teaching device to demonstrate the transmission of sound through air, comprising: a shell, a sealed cavity created inside the shell; an air intake device, which can be connected to the sealed cavity, to draw air inside the cavity to create a vacuum; a sound generator, integrated inside the sealed cavity; and an acoustic sensor, integrated inside the sealed cavity and placed at a distance from the sound generator, which generates a corresponding electrical signal based on the sound received. According to the teaching device as described in the invention, by combining the sound generator and the acoustic sensor inside the sealed cavity, the influence of the shell on experimental results can be eliminated, and the experimental procedure will be more rigorous and scientific.Furthermore, by using sound sensors instead of the human ear to determine volume, the measured volume results can be quantified, and factors related to human hearing are eliminated, making the experimental data more objective and accurate.
