Abstract

This useful solution proposes a method for producing heavy biofuels, in which heavy biofuels can be produced at low cost from inexpensive biomass sources, thereby reducing the number of production steps, improving efficiency and economy by cutting costs through the elimination of catalyst use. This contributes to the sustainable production of heavy biofuel energy at low cost. Furthermore, cardanol, readily available in cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL), is used directly in the production of heavy biodiesel without the need for additional separate chemicals or traditional synthetic phenol-based catalysts, offering an environmentally friendly advantage. The deoxygenation process can be carried out without the need for high-pressure hydrogen (H2). The process of producing heavy biodiesel can be simplified, reducing costs by extending the catalyst's lifespan, limiting coking, and improving the quality of the final product.
