METAL 3D PRINTING SYSTEM

Abstract

The proposed useful solution for a metal 3D printing system includes: A three-axis CNC machine with a linear and rotary axis; a welding power source with positive and negative electrodes to generate an arc for melting additional metal material; a print head to guide the metal wire and create an arc for melting the additional metal, mounted on the three-axis CNC machine and driven by high-precision servo motors; a wire feeding system and shielding gas; and a control system to manage all printing parameters such as printing current, printing voltage, print head movement speed, wire feeding speed, shielding gas flow rate, arc length, and distance from the melting pool to the tip of the molten metal wire.
