Providing interaction information for items in a physical environment

Abstract

A computer-implemented method and system are described for providing interaction information for items in a physical environment. The method carried out by means of a processor coupled to one or more sensors includes receiving monitoring data of a field of view within a physical environment as monitored by the one or more sensors. The method includes detecting an object within the field of view and obtaining one or more classification data elements for the object. The method includes detecting an interaction between the object and at least one item in the field of view and generating an interaction data element categorizing and labelling the interaction. The method includes generating an attribution record which includes the one or more classification data elements and the interaction data element and providing the attribution record for access by a third-party computing system.
