A method for executing an interaction event, executable by an electronic device, and the method comprising:displaying a picture of a preparatory stage of a round of game prior to start of the game in a target game application, wherein avatars engaging in the game comprise a first group of avatars, and the picture of the preparatory stage comprises a game hall and an avatar entering the game hall to wait for start of the game;determining top N avatars in the first group of avatars based on a heat score of each avatar in the first group of avatars, wherein the heat score of each avatar in the first group of avatars is related to a costume prop obtained by the avatar, N being a natural number;displaying a rank list in the picture of the preparatory stage, wherein the rank list comprises heat scores of the top N users engaging the game, and an avatar with a highest heat score is displayed at a center of the picture of the preparatory stage; sequentially displaying, in response to a target avatar being a first avatar in the top N avatars, avatar show animations of the top N avatars in the target game application, wherein the target avatar has a highest heat score;displaying, in response to sequential displaying of the avatar show animations of the top N avatars coming to an end, a first interactive object in a game interface in which the target avatar is locked, wherein the first interactive object is used for triggering a target interaction event, the target avatar is able to trigger the target interaction event in the preparatory stage, and the target interaction event is an interaction event that allows to be jointly executed by the first group of avatars;
