Claims

A system (1) for forming multiple packs of beverage cans, the method of operation, and a device (110) operable with the system for forming multiple packs of beverage cans, enabling the integration of multiple functions into a single component to provide a simple and economical system; comprising a conveyor mechanism for advancing two parallel rows of cans towards a dosing mechanism formed by two opposing toothed wheels, which count the cans passing towards an applicator station (10) where a multiple template (A) is attached to the upper surface of a batch of cans (B); said applicator station (10) comprises a press mechanism (13) with a press plate (131) and an applicator plate (132),both with longitudinal edges with open notches (135 / 137); a template feeding mechanism (12) and a can positioning mechanism (11); the positioning mechanism (11) comprises at least two opposing, multifunctional pivoting devices (110), arranged one on each side of the rows of cans, which have a series of concave curved recesses interspersed with separating portions of variable width to determine the lateral position between cans, a longitudinal ridge with a rounded edge arranged on a lower face to guide the cans in their advance, an eccentric longitudinal axis oriented parallel to the line of advance of the cans so that said devices pivot between a clamping position and a guided release position of the cans, and comprise at least two pins (114) arranged perpendicularly on an upper face, spaced apart from each other to position a multiple template on an upper plane of the group of cans, where said pins act as a stop for the template when it is provided by a horizontal retractable tray (121) that moves orthogonally to the line of advance, and also retain the template (A) on the cans when said retractable tray (121) is retracted.
