Claims

A device for processing an agricultural suspension sample includes a housing that defines an internal cavity configured to receive the agricultural suspension sample and a level sensor supported by the housing. The sensor may be a non-contact level sensor having an exposed face and a line of sight into the internal cavity to obtain suspension level measurements. A sensor cleaning apparatus comprises a selectively movable cleaning head that includes one or more cleaning elements configured to slide and engage and clean along the face of the level sensor to remove dirt and residue from the suspension, thereby ensuring accurate suspension level measurements. An actuator of the apparatus moves the cleaning head between the extended and retracted positions during the sensor cleaning operation. In one embodiment, the sensor is an ultrasonic level sensor.The device can be a suspension stirring / mixing apparatus with a rotary agitator.
