Claims

Fire-resistant seating components with a fire-resistant barrier. A first layer (4) of fire-resistant insulating material rests on the concave surface of a support base (1). A prismatic block (5) of foamed polymeric material (5) rests on this first layer (4). The sides (8) and top surface of this block are covered by a second layer (6) of fire-resistant insulating material. The fire-resistant material is selected from a woven and / or non-woven fabric, or a combination of both, made of ceramic fibers, glass fibers, or mineral fibers, with a thickness between 12 and 25 mm. The assembly is covered by an upholstery fabric (10) independent of the insulating layer. This upholstery layer is free and non-adhered to the second layer of fire-resistant insulating material (6), which forms an insulating barrier surrounding the polymeric prism (5) to prevent the spread of fire.
