Claims

A gas lift packing assembly, a gas lift injection system including the assembly, and methods using the assembly and system are disclosed. The gas lift packing assembly includes an upper short tube, a packing attached to the upper short tube, a lower short tube attached to the packing, a sleeve disposed within the upper short tube, the packing, and the lower short tube. The inside diameters of the components of the gas lift packing assembly form a continuous conduit from end to end of the gas lift packing assembly so that a downhole tool can be moved through the gas lift packing assembly while the gas lift packing assembly is sealed in a well.A gas inlet hole in the upper short tube can be formed so that an inner wall of the gas inlet hole is the housing for a check valve.
