Claims

This application provides for an optical cable drum and an optical fiber distribution box, and is related to the field of optical communication device technologies. The optical cable drum can be modified within the optical fiber distribution box. The optical cable drum may include: a first structural part and a second structural part arranged opposite each other, and a cable drum shaft. The cable drum shaft connects the first and second structural parts, and a periphery of the cable drum shaft forms a reel storage space for winding an optical fiber. An edge of at least one of the first and second structural parts includes a folding portion. This folding portion is foldable in one direction toward the other structural part, and the resulting folded portion forms a side wall of the reel storage space.The optical cable drum also includes a connecting structure. After folding, the folding portion connects to the other structural part using this structure, or it connects to a folding portion of the other structural part, allowing the optical cable drum to be modified within the fiber optic distribution box. This reduces the number of components required during the assembly of an optical communication device, and it eliminates the need to consider the alignment between the optical cable drum and the fiber optic distribution box.
