The description relates to a technology for measuring water depth using a drone, and provides a depth-measuring device and method, comprising storing a measured water depth in a storage mounted on a lower portion of a drone that flies to any of a plurality of locations in a predetermined area and hovers over a water surface, controlling a distance from the storage and a depth-measuring sensor by means of a machine mounted on a lower portion of the storage and connected to an upper portion of the depth-measuring sensor, and emitting an underwater signal through the depth-measuring sensor in a state of floating above the water surface, measuring a round-trip time of the signal reflected from a bottom and received, and measuring the water depth on the basis of a speed of displacement of the signal.
