Claims

The present invention provides a hair conditioning composition for creating a film on the hair. The composition includes a surfactant comprising a glycolipid and one or more hair conditioning formulation adjuvants. The hair conditioning formulation adjuvants may include a conditioning agent, a thickener, a solvent, a chelating agent, a preservative, or a pH adjuster. The glycolipid may be an acidic sophorolipid or a lactonic sophorolipid. The composition may be an emulsion stabilized by a copolymer. Methods for preparing and using the hair conditioning composition are also provided.
